JYOTIRMOY GHOSH

Biography

Jyotirmoy Ghosh is a research scholar and working on the chemistry of molecular solids and ice surfaces. He has completed his graduation from Scottish Church College under University of Calcutta followed by Masters in Chemistry from IIT Madras in 2015. After the post graduation studies, he joined as a Ph.D. student at his alma mater IIT Madras. Apart from research, he spends time playing outdoor sports. He is most interested in Football and a die-hard fan of Real Madrid C.F. and Brazil National Football team.

Research Interests

  • Jyotirmoy is working on the chemistry of molecular solids and ice surfaces of astrochemical implications. A custom-built instrument is utilized for this study. Different phases of molecular solids at the analogous conditions of space have been explored. Clathrate hydrate a type of molecular solids has been found in the interstellar medium.
