I was born and brought up in Bankura, West Bengal. I have joined IIT Madras as a Ph.D. scholar under the guidance of Dr. Mahiuddin Baidya in July 2016. Currently, I am working on the development of C-C and C-heteroatom bond forming processes through unveiling new chemical reactions. Specifically, I am motivated towards the use of directed C-H bond functionalization and visible-light photoredox catalysis as a tool for the construction of high-value organic molecules. Besides spending time in the lab, I love to cook, play cricket, and visit new places.
