I was born and raised up in West Bengal. I received my graduation in Chemistry (Hons.) from Panskura Banamali College affiliated to Vidyasagar University, West Bengal in 2012. I completed my post graduation in Chemistry from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal in 2014. I joined as a Ph.D. scholar in the department of Chemistry, IIT Madras under the supervision of Dr. Md. Mahiuddin Baidya in July 2015. I am focusing on transition-metal-catalyzed unactivated C−H bond functionalization strategy and photoredox catalysis specifically with an interest in developing synthetic methodologies. Playing cricket, cards, listening music, cooking on Sunday, and travelling with friends at the weekend are my favorite hobbies.
