Brief Biography of Prof. KKB
Professor K. K. Balasubramanian has an outstanding career at IIT Madras since 1971. His contributions to the Department of Chemistry in teaching and research are tremendous. He has been a role model and inspiration to all around him for more than three decades and continues to actively pursue scientific activities. He was a visiting professor at the University of Nancy, France, and a guest scientist at the National Institute of Science and Technology (USA). He has received several honors and awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Lifetime Achievement Award of Chennai Chemical Conference India, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Senior Fellowship, and is an elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Science and the Indian National Science Academy. He has been associated with several pharmaceutical companies as Research Advisor since 1995.
