Biography

Dr. Arti Dua obtained her B.Sc and M.Sc from Delhi University, and Ph.D in theoretical chemical physics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She then spent three years at the Max-Planck Institute of Polymer Research in Germany as a postdoctoral fellow, and a year at the University of Edinburgh, UK before joining IIT Madras in December 2006.
AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS

  • The 2003-04 Toulouse Medal from the Indian Institute of Science, the biennial award for the best Ph.D thesis in the area of Chemical Physics in the Faculty of Science.

  • Max-Planck Research Fellowship from the German Science Foundation (2002-2005).

  • Core Member: Subject Expert Committee (SEC) in Chemical Sciences under Women Scientists Scheme WOS-A, Department of Science and Technology (DST), 2016-2019.

  • Visiting Fellow: DAMTP, Cambridge University, Dec 2017, June-July 2018
