Professor

DR. ARCHITA PATNAIK

Biography

Archita Patnaik is a Professor in the department of Chemistry. Her primary research interest targeted at ‘Molecular Self-assembly and Functional Materials’, a discipline within disciplines, reflects new approaches to synthesis and processing of materials at structured interfaces, enabling higher functionality structures, pattern formation and devices. She pursued B.Sc (Chemistry (Hons.), Physics, Mathematics) at the B.J.B College Bhubaneswar and completed M.Sc and Ph.D from Banaras Hindu University. After completing research tenures as an AvH Fellow, a NASA Fellow and a Max-Planck Research Fellow, she joined the department in 1992. During 2013 – 2016, she has served as a member, subject expert committee for Chemical Sciences, Women Scientist Scheme (WOS – A) of Department of Science and Technology, India and has been a SERB expert committee member in Chemical Sciences for Early Career Research and National Post-Doctoral Fellow schemes since 2016 till date. As an Editorial Advisory Board Member, she has served for The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics and Journal of Chemical Sciences.
