Education
Biography
Sourav Biswas is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, IIT Madras. He completed his Ph.D. in nanoparticle research and subsequently joined IISER Thiruvananthapuram as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (December 2020–December 2022), where he began his research on atomically precise metal nanoclusters. Then he moved to Japan and joined Tokyo University of Science as a Postdoctoral Fellow (December 2022–March 2024). He was then promoted to Assistant Professor at the same institution (April 2024–December 2024). He later joined Tohoku University, Sendai, as an Assistant Professor (January 2025–October 2025) and was promoted to Senior Assistant Professor, a position he held until June 2026 before joining IIT Madras in July 2026.
