Biography
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Parsapur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Madras, where his research focused on design and development of heterogeneous catalysts. He then joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, working on the design of advanced porous catalysts for refinery-based applications. From January 2023 to July 2026, he served as a Research Scientist at KAUST, contributing to the development and scale-up of catalytic technologies from laboratory to pilot scale. In July 2026, he joined the faculty at IIT Madras, where his research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis, catalyst design, and energy-related applications.
