    • The large variety of volatile organic compounds, which are released into the atmosphere, can be removed by reactions with hydroxyl radical (OH), nitrate radical (NO 3), and Cl atoms etc. The life times and Global Warming Potential (GWPs) can be determined by measuring the rate coefficients and absorption cross sections of those VOCs in the Earths atmosphere by using Cavity Ring Down Spectrometer (CRDS) and Laser induced fluorescence (LIF) techniques.
