Biography

Arti earned a doctorate in theoretical chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2002. She then spent three years at the Max-Planck Institute of Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany, before joining IIT Madras in 2006. Her research focuses on two main areas, stochastic reaction dynamics and statistical mechanics of complex fluids.

Research Interests

To develop new theoretical methods to investigate catalysis at the molecular scale
To unravel the role of fluctuations in chemical kinetics
To develop phenomenological models for biopolymer dynamics
