Department of Chemistry, IIT Madras
The five decade long journey of the department is a voyage in pursuit of excellence in teaching and research. The department has excellent research programs in both conventional as well as interdisciplinary areas. The faculty are highly accomplished in their areas of specialization. The department has over 300 research scholars and post-graduate students and is equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities, including all the spectroscopic techniques.

Society for the Advancement of Chemical Sciences and Education
Society for Advancement of Chemical Sciences and Education (SACSE), headquarted at the Radiochemistry Laboratory, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, is actively engaged in the promotion of chemical sciences and technology with an equal emphasis on chemical education. It is regularly organizing educational programmes such as lectures, demonstrations, seminars, quiz and workshops to take the recent developments in chemistry to the door step of the students in schools and colleges.
