Spectroscopic techniques enable the study of atomic and molecular energy levels, molecular geometries and chemical bonds, interaction among molecules and related processes. Recent advances in the areas of various spectroscopic techniques (nuclear magnetic and electron spin resonance, infrared, photo electron, electrochemical and laser based spectroscopies, mass spectrometry, circular dichroism etc.) will be covered in the theme meeting on Recent Trends in Spectroscopy (RTS-2014). The technical porgramme of RTS-2014 would include plenary lectures and invited talks by eminent speakers from leading institutions. The talks are aimed at providing an insight into the latest developments in various spectroscopic techniques to the research students and practicing scientists. In addition, there would be oral and poster presentations by research students and others. The theme meeting on Recent Trends in Spectroscopy will be held during June 20-21, 2014 at IIT Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
